Software Engineer (w/m/d) – B2B Saas I Berlin (hybrid)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS client based in Berlin that is transforming a heavily regulated European industry through innovative digital solutions. Our client operates a fast-growing B2B platform and is backed by leading investors.

We're seeking a Software Engineer to join their technical team in a hybrid role based in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. You'll work directly with senior leadership and contribute to the evolution of their core platform from day one.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to the technical evolution of the platform, bringing forward ideas to improve robustness, performance, and scalability
• Participate in technical design decisions including architecture of features, data models, API design, and tooling choices
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to shape technical solutions around user needs
• Own the full development lifecycle: task breakdown, implementation, deployment, and production monitoring
• Conduct code reviews, write tests, and maintain clean documentation as standard practice
• Work alongside Senior Engineers and the Tech Lead, growing your skills through pair programming, architecture sessions, and constructive feedback

What We're Looking For

• 2 to 3 years of experience in software development, ideally in a scaling SaaS environment with production support experience
• Solid skills in TypeScript and Node.js, ideally with NestJS on the backend
• Good understanding of modern frontend technologies such as React
• Experience building modern APIs, working with different system architectures, and data modeling
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs between different technical approaches
• Familiarity with deployment, testing, and CI/CD processes as integral parts of development
• Solution-oriented and pragmatic working style with focus on understanding the "why" behind requirements
• Self-awareness about your strengths and willingness to ask for support when needed
• Fluent English required; German is a plus
