Senior SAP Master Data Management Consultant (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential enterprise consulting organization seeking a Senior SAP Master Data Management Consultant in Heidelberg, Germany. In this role, you will:

• Lead the execution of SAP projects focused on Master Data Management (MDM) within a dynamic, international consulting environment
• Develop and define comprehensive master data management strategies for enterprise clients
• Guide SAP S/4HANA transformations, implementing key master data topics including Customer Vendor Integration for Business Partners, Material Ledger, and master data quality initiatives
• Conduct data profiling in current ERP systems, define migration scope, assess data quality, and guide clients to improve data readiness before transitioning to SAP S/4HANA
• Take ownership of sub-projects in the master data management field, leading planning, execution, and coordination
• Plan and drive data migration processes with emphasis on ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity, including use of external migration tools
• Collaborate closely with Functional Stream Leads across FI/CO, SD/MM, and other modules to ensure seamless cross-process integration

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Business Informatics, Business Mathematics, or a comparable qualification
• Extensive experience guiding customers through SAP S/4HANA transformations from a master data management perspective
• Proven experience with Customer Vendor Integration (Business Partners) and Material Ledger
• Background in at least one SAP functional module (MM, SD, PP, FI, or similar)
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Transformation projects, including knowledge of best practices for data governance and data migration
• Understanding of various transition paths from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA including Greenfield, Bluefield, and Brownfield approaches
• Basic knowledge of SAP Business Transformation tools such as SAP Readiness Check, SAP CALM, or SAP Business Transformation Center is advantageous
• Knowledge of SAP MDG is considered an advantage
• Excellent communication skills in both English and German
• Willingness to travel as required
