Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential surveying and planning consultancy based in Berlin. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete creation of site plans and existing condition surveys for building applications, easements, and development plans under Berlin building law. You will serve as the primary point of contact between property owners, developers, and municipal authorities, ensuring legally compliant and accurate documentation.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Creating site plans for building permit applications
• Preparing site plans for building easements and restrictions
• Developing existing condition plans for local development plans
• Coordinating independently with clients regarding their project requirements
• Communicating with administrative offices and authorities throughout approval processes
• Clarifying open questions directly with property owners
• Maintaining and updating existing data records in AutoCAD

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone who can work autonomously on complete projects from survey to final plan, rather than serving as just one step in a larger process. The ideal candidate brings:

• Completed vocational training as a surveying technician (Vermessungstechniker) or completed studies in geodesy, surveying, or related field
• Proven experience creating existing condition and site plans
• Strong proficiency with CAD software, ideally AutoCAD
• Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken, at negotiation level
• Familiarity with Berlin building law or planning law is advantageous
• Structured, precise, and team-oriented work approach

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a four-day work week option, even at full-time status (39.5 hours per week). The client provides 28 vacation days upon hire, scaling up to 31 days, plus a half-day off on your birthday and on December 24th and 31st. Additional benefits include company pension contributions, childcare allowance, paid professional development in CAD and Berlin building regulations, a Deutschland-Ticket, and access to a job bike program. The office is located in a bright, traditional Berlin building with ergonomic, height-adjustable workstations and excellent public transport connections.
