Service Supervisor I

Farm Boy Inc. is recruiting a Service Supervisor I for our Cambridge, Ontario location. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to lead customer service operations and make a direct impact on our customers' shopping experience at one of Eastern Ontario's trusted grocery retailers.

About This Position

As Service Supervisor I, you'll lead and inspire a team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining operational excellence. In this supervisory role, you'll manage the day-to-day activities of your service team, ensure consistent adherence to our service standards, and respond promptly to customer needs. Your leadership will create an environment where customers feel genuinely welcomed and team members feel empowered to excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor service team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Schedule staff effectively and manage daily operational workflows to meet service levels
• Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy
• Maintain service area standards including cleanliness, organization, and regulatory compliance
• Train and develop team members on service procedures, product knowledge, and customer engagement techniques
• Monitor key performance metrics and collaborate on strategies to achieve service and sales targets
• Communicate priorities and updates clearly to store management and coordinate with other departments

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory, team lead, or customer-facing retail role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse customers and motivate staff
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment with flexibility to adjust priorities
• Willingness to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends as required
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
