Senior UX Researcher (100% Remote Worldwide)

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join their fully remote, global team. This role offers the unique opportunity to conduct research across a diverse product portfolio spanning consumer applications, developer platforms, and blockchain-based financial tools.

This position stands apart from typical UX research roles due to its exceptional breadth. One week you might be studying how users in emerging markets interact with mobile financial applications, and the next you'll be working alongside engineers to optimize developer portal experiences. Our client values genuine curiosity, depth of analytical thinking, and the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations that drive better product decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX research initiatives across consumer and developer-facing products including wallets, communication platforms, and developer portals
• Identify UX best practices and emerging patterns across multiple product categories
• Conduct competitive research to surface how others are solving comparable problems and identify market gaps
• Translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product designers and product managers
• Partner with cross-functional product teams to inform decisions throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Build and maintain a centralized research repository to ensure insights compound over time and remain accessible across teams
• Tailor research methodologies to each product context—whether qualitative, quantitative, lightweight, or in-depth—based on the specific questions being addressed

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of UX research experience across consumer and/or developer products
• End-to-end research capabilities: defining research questions, selecting appropriate methods, executing studies, synthesizing data, and communicating outcomes
• Strong command of qualitative methods (interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry) and working familiarity with quantitative approaches
• Working knowledge of at least one of the following: crypto wallets and self-custody, messaging or peer-to-peer applications, AI applications, or developer tooling
• Sharp written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convert ambiguous findings into decision-ready recommendations
• Experience with products where trust, privacy, security, financial transactions, or technical complexity significantly affect user experience
• Mandatory AI fluency: active use of AI tools to accelerate research planning, synthesis, insight mapping, documentation, and reporting, combined with strong human judgment
• Strong product judgment with the ability to separate signal from noise and identify which insights should influence product direction
• Comfort working in fast-moving environments where research needs to be practical, focused, and immediately useful
• Genuine curiosity and critical thinking that goes beyond surface-level observations
• Low-ego collaboration style with the ability to challenge assumptions clearly and constructively
• Excellent English communication skills for this global, remote position

Bonus qualifications:

• Background researching developer audiences and developer experience specifically
• Experience establishing UX research practices from scratch or scaling them across multiple product teams
• Background in fintech, cryptocurrency, AI, peer-to-peer technologies, or open-source ecosystems
• Familiarity with privacy-preserving research methodologies
• Ability to create low-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate and inspire potential improvements to user flows, functionality, and content structure
