Senior Technischer Facility Manager (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential logistics organization seeking a Senior Technical Facility Manager for their highly automated fulfillment operation in Oberhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority responsible for the complete technical condition and operational safety of a complex automated facility.

• Own the technical infrastructure and ensure seamless integration between building systems and advanced automation technology
• Manage large-scale budgets and complex service contracts for specialized systems including advanced cooling and IoT infrastructure
• Act as the primary strategic technical contact for site leadership and collaborate at peer level with automation and engineering teams
• Lead crisis management during critical system failures, coordinating specialized service providers under significant time pressure and conducting thorough root cause analyses
• Direct high-complexity technical projects across CAPEX and OPEX budgets
• Leverage advanced data models and IoT infrastructure tools to proactively identify and resolve systemic issues
• Drive innovation and best practices across the facility network

What We're Looking For

• Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Facility Management, Building Technology, Industrial Engineering, or comparable technical field
• 5-7 years of substantial professional experience in technical facility management, ideally supporting highly automated logistics centers with systems from providers such as TGW, Dematic, or Vanderlande
• Fluent German and very good English language skills required
• Valid Class B driver's license
• Conceptual, abstract thinking ability at macro level combined with skill in translating complex technical requirements into clear operational steps
• Strong ownership mentality with ability to set and defend exceptionally high technical standards even under operational pressure
• Experience bridging the gap between building management systems and logistics processes
