Senior Technischer Facility Manager (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential logistics organization seeking a Senior Technical Facility Manager for their automated fulfillment operations in Dinslaken, North Rhine-Westphalia. In this role, you will serve as the technical authority ensuring seamless integration between building infrastructure and advanced automation systems.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Maintaining sole responsibility for the technical condition and operational safety of a highly automated facility, bridging the gap between building systems and logistics processes
• Serving as the primary strategic contact for site leadership and interfacing with automation and engineering teams at the executive level
• Managing critical system failures by coordinating specialized service providers under tight deadlines and conducting thorough root cause analyses
• Leading complex, high-value technical projects (CAPEX/OPEX) and managing specialized contracts for advanced cooling systems and IoT infrastructure
• Leveraging advanced data models and IoT tools to proactively solve systemic issues and drive network-wide innovations
• Managing substantial budgets and complex service contracts while ensuring technical readiness in a high-stakes environment

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Facility Management, Building Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field
• 5–7 years of solid professional experience in technical facility management, ideally supporting highly automated logistics centers with systems from major automation providers
• Fluent German and very good English language skills; Class B driver's license required
• Conceptual, abstract thinking capabilities at a macro level combined with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear operational steps
• Strong ownership mentality with the ability to set exceptionally high technical standards and defend facility management requirements even under operational pressure
• Experience managing high-volume technical budgets and coordinating specialized service providers in time-critical situations
