Senior Software Engineer – (Connect Platform)

We are representing a confidential clean energy technology company that is building critical infrastructure for the modern energy grid. Our client works at the intersection of energy systems and connected devices, providing API solutions that enable energy companies to integrate with electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and other distributed energy resources.

As a recruiting partner, Get A Job.ai is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Connect Platform team. This is a remote-first role based in Europe, with a focus on backend development and platform reliability.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

• Build and maintain API integrations with OEM partners and energy platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and comprehensive testing
• Strengthen the connectivity platform by reducing incidents and improving observability, monitoring, and alerting systems
• Drive complex technical projects from conception through to production release, breaking them into actionable deliverables
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testing practices, and system observability across the codebase
• Collaborate with product teams to align platform priorities, balancing system stability with feature delivery
• Support and mentor other engineers, sharing knowledge and contributing to technical decisions that keep the team aligned
• Work with a TypeScript-based stack including React, Node, AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL, and infrastructure as code via CDK/CloudFormation

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience writing maintainable, testable backend code, ideally in environments with extensive API or integration work
• Strong understanding of platform engineering from a product perspective—building the connectivity layer that powers integrations
• Demonstrated ability to build new integrations and improve system reliability and observability
• Systematic approach to debugging issues across distributed services and implementing preventive measures
• Clear communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Track record of taking ownership beyond individual tasks and supporting team success
• Enthusiasm for leveraging AI as a strategic engineering tool, with fluency in using AI assistance day-to-day or eagerness to develop this skill quickly
• Location: Must be based in Europe (Norway preferred)
