Senior Software Engineer (C# .NET) | London

We are representing a confidential global technology organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their distributed engineering team. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary technology department with teams in major tech hubs worldwide, contributing to platforms that serve both internal users and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Engage in all phases of application development with focus on coding, debugging, and security compliance throughout the software lifecycle
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code and APIs supporting both web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA engineers, and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Work with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and prevent vulnerabilities
• Develop automation tests and collaborate with automation engineers for comprehensive regression testing
• Provide personalized technical support to users as needed
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve backend infrastructure
• Document application support procedures and operational workflows
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support their professional development

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of software development experience with focus on building scalable and reliable systems
• Extensive knowledge of.NET C#, LINQ, MS SQL, Entity Framework and related technologies
• Proficiency with version control software such as Git
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles and clean code practices
• Experience with web service protocols including REST and API design for extensibility and integration
• Proven ability debugging complex applications
• Experience with Agile development and project management methodologies
• Database development experience in SQL Server or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Docker
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments
• Experience with Azure, AWS, RabbitMQ, and Quartz is a plus
