Senior Service Designer – Product & Experience

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential consulting client seeking a Senior Service Designer to join their Product & Experience practice. In this role, you will lead customer-centric design initiatives for complex transformation programmes in financial services and energy sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating senior-level workshops and leading discovery activities to define experience design strategies
• Translating user needs into service blueprints, journey maps, and design artefacts that align business strategy with customer requirements
• Identifying opportunities to incorporate AI-enabled capabilities such as personalisation or automation into service concepts to enhance outcomes
• Supporting the design of customer journey management approaches, including AI-enabled insights for improved service performance
• Overseeing end-to-end design delivery, managing roadmaps and timelines across multi-disciplinary teams
• Promoting the value of design thinking across stakeholder groups and acting as a trusted advisor to clients
• Identifying and leading new opportunities that address client challenges in regulated industries

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• Strong expertise in service design methods and customer experience practices
• Proven ability to lead organisational change and influence senior stakeholders
• Experience with Customer Journey Management, including specialist tools such as Theydo and analytics-driven journey optimisation
• Understanding of how AI-enabled capabilities can enhance service design and customer experience outcomes
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams alongside data and technology specialists

Beneficial experience:

• Product design skills and portfolio demonstrating end-to-end delivery
• Domain knowledge in banking, insurance, or capital markets
• Experience with inclusive design or AI-enabled service innovation within enterprise environments
• Sustainable design practices and accessibility standards
• Consulting experience within financial services or other regulated industries

This is a permanent position based in London with hybrid working arrangements.
