Senior Rider Onboarding Associate – (6 Months FTC)

We are representing a confidential on-demand logistics client in their search for a Senior Rider Onboarding Associate to join their UK and Ireland operations team. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, field-based role with operational roots in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, or London.

Our client operates a multi-sided marketplace connecting consumers, merchants, and independent couriers. This role sits within the fleet enablement function, responsible for building and scaling the physical onboarding infrastructure that ensures adequate courier capacity across the network.

Responsibilities

Strategy, Design & Scaling

• Optimise the performance of physical onboarding hubs by evolving workflows and structural formats to maximise operational efficiency before, during, and after daily sessions
• Design, operationalise, and expand onboarding spaces across the UK and Ireland, implementing standardised systems to maintain high-quality service for all applicants
• Architect and execute a 12-month delivery plan for in-person onboarding, balancing expansion with strict time and cost efficiencies
• Partner with support, product, and broader onboarding teams to troubleshoot live operational issues and funnel field intelligence into long-term system enhancements

Field Operations & Fleet Enablement

• Travel extensively across the UK and Ireland to lead face-to-face onboarding sessions and support localised operations within regional hubs
• Target and eliminate courier deficits in hard-to-source zones, collaborating with supply teams to build accurate demand forecasting models
• Lead tactical supply planning and execution for peak trading seasons to stay ahead of consumer and partner growth
• Manage local supply constraints and ensure the courier fleet meets real-time marketplace demand

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Proven operational experience within technology start-ups, logistics, on-demand platforms, or direct experience working as a gig-economy courier
• Self-starter mindset with demonstrated ability to work independently in the field, navigate changing operational priorities, and use your own initiative
• Strong empathetic listening and communication skills, with the capability to influence internal product teams and manage candidate groups
• Valid UK or Ireland driving licence and access to your own vehicle for locations underserved by public transport
• Flexibility to travel early and late, with willingness to work across multiple cities

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with G Suite, Slack, Looker, and Salesforce tooling
• Professional proficiency in Portuguese or Arabic

Note: This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. All field-based travel, accommodation, and personal vehicle mileage expenses will be fully covered by the client.
