Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join their distributed team. This is a full-time remote position requiring availability during New York business hours.
In this role, you will:
- Work within an agile team to ensure the quality of complex.NET and Angular-based web and mobile applications
- Test applications in multilingual configurations across multiple browsers and operating systems
- Execute functional test scripts and analyze bugs for systems in active development
- Collaborate closely with developers to identify potential operational issues, assess risks, and resolve problems proactively
- Perform load testing using industry-standard tools and recommend solutions for performance optimization
- Conduct API testing using Postman and similar tools
- Document defect details, create comprehensive reports outlining defect types and resolution steps, and maintain the regression test framework
- Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles in collaborative platforms
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance for complex web application platforms
- Strong experience performing manual testing and executing scripted test cases
- Hands-on experience with security testing, integration testing, API testing, end-to-end testing, and load testing
- Experience testing mobile applications, browser compatibility, and accessibility standards
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, document, and report test results
- Proficiency writing SQL queries (DQL)
- Exposure to JMeter and BlazeMeter for performance testing
- Familiarity with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience testing multilingual applications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with developers in an agile environment
- ISTQB or similar QA certification is a plus
- Fluent English language proficiency, both oral and written
- Ability to work normal business hours aligned with New York time zone (example: 9 AM NY = 7:30 PM Sri Lanka time)
