Senior Oracle Data Engineer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential public-sector IT organization seeking a Senior Oracle Data Engineer to take technical ownership of sophisticated database solutions. In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and enhance database solutions using Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Architect and implement integration processes with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Take technical ownership of project requirements and deliverables
• Coordinate and support the development team on database initiatives
• Quickly ramp up on new technologies and technical challenges as they arise
• Plan, document, and track development work using Jira and Confluence
• Manage version control with Git and work efficiently in development tools like Visual Studio Code
• Facilitate technical discussions and translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
• Represent technical solutions confidently in coordination meetings with project leadership and end users

What We're Looking For

Our talent team is seeking candidates with:

• Strong expertise in Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL development
• Foundational knowledge of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Demonstrated experience with Jira and Confluence for project management
• Proficiency with Git and standard development environments such as Visual Studio Code
• Proven ability to assume technical ownership and accountability
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
• Capability to explain technical content effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Confident presence in client-facing and project leadership meetings
• Very strong German language skills (C1 level) and good English proficiency

Nice to have:

• Data Vault data modeling experience
• Containerization knowledge with Podman
• Oracle Analytics Server exposure
• Oracle APEX familiarity
