Senior Network R&D Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential robotics technology organization experiencing significant growth across Europe. Our client is seeking a Senior Network R&D Engineer to join their research and development teams in Wasquehal, France. This is an exceptional opportunity to design and evolve network infrastructure that powers advanced warehouse automation systems.

As the company scales rapidly, their network infrastructure must evolve to support enhanced security, performance, and stability across logistics sites while optimizing costs and accelerating cloud adoption. You'll be a key technical interface working at the intersection of hardware innovation and intelligent systems.

Responsibilities

• Design robust and reliable network solutions for complex operational environments
• Lead the design and evolution of network infrastructure aligned with the technical roadmap
• Propose improvements and innovative solutions to optimize performance and security
• Automate network management and promote engineering best practices
• Anticipate risks and arbitrate critical technical decisions
• Support project teams through technical guidance, task allocation, and needs identification
• Serve as the key technical interface with internal teams, partners, and vendors
• Produce high-quality deliverables including specifications, documentation, and training materials
• Contribute to technology watch and architecture simplification initiatives
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience with network infrastructure in production environments
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform)
• Solid knowledge of Linux systems and containerization
• Autonomous, adaptable, and collaborative mindset
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• French language skills are beneficial given the location
