Software Development Engineers in Test (Python)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization that is expanding their quality engineering capabilities. We are seeking several experienced Software Development Engineers in Test specializing in Python to join a collaborative technical environment. In this role, you will focus on test automation framework development, extending functional and performance test coverage, and working closely with development teams to enhance product quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle. You'll work extensively with APIs, modern cloud infrastructure, and messaging systems in a remote capacity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to enhance software delivery and quality throughout the entire development cycle
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for testing
• Develop and recommend performance testing strategies to improve delivery quality
• Create formal test procedures and test plans from product design documentation and certification requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain functional and performance automation tests
• Build and implement test automation frameworks, libraries, and automated test suites
• Develop mobile testing emulators as needed
• Construct CI/CD pipelines and integrate automation scripts into continuous integration tools
• Identify, manage, and drive resolution of testing issues
• Share technical knowledge and mentor other QA team members
• Participate actively in both software development and testing lifecycles

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of comprehensive quality assurance experience
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Python development experience
• Strong expertise designing and developing automated tests using Python
• Solid technical background with testing fundamentals
• Experience testing REST APIs
• Confident knowledge of Git version control
• Experience with agile software development methodologies and testing procedures
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience developing test frameworks from scratch
• Background with asynchronous and multithreading programming
• Experience testing web sockets
• Docker experience
• Familiarity with Grafana
• Performance testing background
• Finance or trading domain experience
