Senior Manager*in Creation & Design

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential sports organization based in Frankfurt am Main seeking a Senior Manager Creation & Design to join their brand presentation team. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) available immediately.

In this senior creative role, you'll take ownership of sophisticated design projects, provide creative guidance to colleagues, and collaborate closely with brand management leadership. You'll be responsible for translating brand strategy into compelling visual systems across all channels.

Responsibilities

Concept & Creation:

• Lead complex design projects independently from briefing through visual concept development to rollout, maintaining quality, timing, and applicability
• Translate brand strategy into visual narratives through key visuals, image concepts, and modular design systems
• Design and execute cross-media communication materials for digital, social media, print, out-of-home, motion, event, and venue branding

Brand Presentation & Design Systems:

• Evolve existing corporate and brand identities, developing new visual foundations as needed
• Create and maintain design manuals, templates, grid systems, and asset libraries ensuring consistent application
• Ensure production readiness through final artwork, image editing, and compositing for various production methods

Project Management, Quality & Collaboration:

• Manage internal stakeholder relationships, present design decisions clearly, and drive projects to successful outcomes
• Brief and manage external agencies and creative partners, evaluating deliverables against defined quality standards
• Provide technical feedback and mentorship to colleagues, sharing methods and elevating design quality across the team
• Monitor relevant design, technology, and industry trends, integrating meaningful insights into standards and workflows

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

• Completed degree in communication, graphic, or media design, or comparable qualification
• Minimum six years of relevant professional experience in brand or communication design, ideally in sports, agency, or entertainment environments
• Compelling portfolio demonstrating conceptual strength, excellent design execution, and confident cross-media implementation

Design & Technical Expertise:

• Excellent design sensibility for typography, composition, visual language, image aesthetics, color, and brand impact
• Proven experience developing, documenting, and implementing modular corporate and brand design systems across media
• Strong conceptual and strategic thinking with ability to structure complex content and translate brand strategies into clear visual concepts
• Production knowledge across print, out-of-home, digital, motion, and event branding, plus experience with asset and template management
• Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with Figma and After Effects or Premiere advantageous

Working Style:

• Structured project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Clear communicator who presents confidently to internal clients, agencies, and partners
• Strong feedback and collaboration skills with ability to explain design decisions persuasively and share knowledge generously
• Self-starter with solution-oriented approach and high quality standards
• Willingness to travel and occasional work on weekends or holidays as required
• German language proficiency required for this role
