Senior Information Risk Consultant

Highmark Health is hiring a Senior Information Risk Consultant for a full-time position in Pierre, Hughes County. In this role, you'll identify and help mitigate information and business risks across our organization by partnering with our infrastructure, engineering, operations, compliance, and privacy teams.

About the Role

As a Senior Information Risk Consultant at Highmark Health, you'll serve as a strategic advisor on information security and risk management. You'll work across departments to assess business processes, infrastructure, and systems for potential vulnerabilities and gaps in our risk posture. Your goal is to translate complex security and compliance needs into actionable solutions that protect Highmark Health and our members.

What You'll Do

• Partner with infrastructure, engineering, operations, and business teams to identify information and business risks
• Evaluate existing and propose new policies, standards, and controls to address identified risks
• Develop and deliver risk awareness and education initiatives across the organization
• Design and implement processes and technologies that strengthen our risk management capabilities
• Monitor emerging risks and stay current with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with compliance and privacy teams to ensure alignment on regulatory obligations

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as an information risk, security risk, or compliance consultant or analyst
• Deep knowledge of information security frameworks, risk management methodologies, and compliance standards
• Strong ability to assess technical infrastructure and business processes for risk
• Excellent communication skills to translate security concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated success driving organizational change and adoption of new policies or controls
• Experience with healthcare compliance preferred (HIPAA, HITRUST, or similar)
