Senior Director – BMS/EMPS Controls Design & Strategy

Oracle is seeking a Senior Director of BMS and EMPS Controls Design & Strategy to lead the evolution of Building Management Systems and Electrical/Mechanical Plant Management Systems infrastructure for OCI's hyperscale and grid-scale data center portfolio, based in Urbanización El Vedado, San Juan.

About the Role

This is an executive leadership position that shapes the technical direction and operational strategy for critical systems management across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's global data center estate. You will set the vision for how BMS and EMPS technologies integrate, standardize, and scale to support some of the world's largest computing platforms. Your decisions in architecture, automation, and controls integration will directly impact reliability, efficiency, and performance across multiple continents.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and deployment of standardized BMS and EMPS platforms across hyperscale and grid-scale data center environments
• Define and execute a comprehensive controls architecture strategy that integrates electrical and mechanical systems with software platforms
• Drive global standards for system design, operational procedures, and technology selection across the data center organization
• Develop automation and intelligence strategies that enhance operational reliability, predictability, and resource efficiency
• Partner with infrastructure, engineering, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical implementations
• Oversee technical roadmap planning and vendor evaluation for next-generation controls and management systems

What We're Looking For

• Executive leadership experience in building management systems, HVAC controls, electrical infrastructure, or data center operations
• Deep technical knowledge of BMS/EMPS platforms, controls integration, and distributed systems architecture
• Proven track record defining and implementing global technical standards and strategies at enterprise scale
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex technical programs in hyperscale environments
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on technical credibility
