About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential international e-commerce organization scaling rapidly across multiple markets. This is a Senior Google Ads Specialist role based in London with hybrid working (one day per week in office, remainder remote). The position requires an immediate start and offers direct ownership of Google Ads performance for a significant e-commerce brand.

You will manage substantial monthly advertising budgets (£250,000+) across international markets, working across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, and other campaign types. This is a hands-on role with direct accountability for growth, efficiency, and profitability—not a reporting or support function.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of Google Ads performance for an e-commerce brand operating across multiple international markets
  • Manage and optimise campaigns across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, and other relevant formats
  • Monitor and improve key metrics including ROAS, CPA, conversion rate, revenue, and profitability
  • Identify growth opportunities across products, categories, markets, and audience segments
  • Analyse campaign data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Conduct account audits and implement ongoing optimisation initiatives
  • Collaborate with developers and analytics teams to ensure accurate tracking and measurement
  • Work with creative and content teams to improve ad performance and landing page effectiveness
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and performance reporting
  • Stay current with platform developments, AI-driven advertising features, and industry best practices
  • Contribute to testing strategies and experimentation frameworks for long-term performance improvement
  • Travel approximately every 4-8 weeks to European team locations for planning sessions and strategic discussions

What We're Looking For

Essential requirements:

  • 2+ years hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns in an e-commerce environment
  • Proven in-house e-commerce experience with direct responsibility for performance and profitability (agency, consultancy, or freelance backgrounds will not be considered for this role)
  • Strong experience with Search, Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns
  • Comfortable analysing large datasets and identifying actionable insights
  • Strong understanding of attribution, tracking, and performance measurement
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Merchant Center
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities
  • Able to take ownership and make decisions independently
  • Available to start immediately

Personal attributes:

  • Data-driven without becoming overly theoretical
  • Naturally curious and always looking for performance improvements
  • Focused on outcomes rather than activity
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Motivated by building and scaling rather than simply maintaining campaigns
  • Comfortable working with AI and automation tools as part of business operations
