Senior Project Geologist

Weaver Consultants Group is hiring a Senior Project Geologist to join our North Central Solid Waste Practice Group in Saint Louis, Saint Louis County. This full-time position offers an experienced geologist the opportunity to lead technical projects, support business growth, and advance your expertise in a dynamic, collaborative consulting environment.

About the Role

As Senior Project Geologist, you'll take on a leadership role within our solid waste consulting practice. You'll manage geological assessments and site evaluations, oversee technical investigations, and deliver strategic recommendations that drive both client success and business development. This role combines hands-on technical work with business development support, allowing you to contribute directly to the growth and visibility of the practice group while advancing your own career in consulting.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage geological projects from assessment through reporting and client delivery
• Conduct site investigations and geological evaluations for solid waste facilities and related environmental applications
• Develop and present technical findings to clients and regulatory agencies
• Support business development activities, including proposals, project pursuits, and client relationship management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex geological and environmental challenges
• Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in solid waste management

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in geology or environmental consulting
• Demonstrated expertise in site assessment, geological analysis, and solid waste applications
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Professional engineering or geological licensure (PE or PG) preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Collaborative mindset with ability to mentor junior staff and work effectively across teams
