Senior Fullstack TS Developer (backend-oriented)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential B2B SaaS organization in their search for a Senior Fullstack TypeScript Developer (backend-oriented) based in Marseille. This profitable technology company serves thousands of clients globally and offers meaningful technical challenges in a remote-first environment.

As a senior fullstack developer, you'll design and develop new features from scratch across both frontend and backend, working primarily with Node.js. You'll take ownership of complex projects, improve code quality through refactoring and optimization, support technical troubleshooting for customer-facing teams, and mentor fellow developers.

Responsibilities

• Design and independently develop new features for production SaaS applications, enhancing user experience and product functionality
• Build and maintain robust web applications using TypeScript and Node.js
• Optimize code base through refactoring, bug fixes, and performance improvements
• Work across multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
• Provide technical support and solutions to customer support teams
• Share knowledge and train fellow developers to build overall team competency
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical strategy

What We're Looking For

Must Have:

• 5+ years of professional experience with TypeScript/JavaScript
• Proven track record building and maintaining production web applications
• Strong expertise in Node.js and MongoDB
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex projects
• Fast learner comfortable with agile methodologies
• Strong communication skills and comfort with remote collaboration tools
• Adaptability across various technical domains—frontend integration, backend development, database optimization, and technical support
• Fluency in both French and English
• Located in French timezone (France +/- 3 hours)

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience in B2B SaaS startups
• Self-taught background with personal programming projects demonstrating passion for development

This is a full-time, remote position based in Marseille (French timezone required).
