Senior Backend Engineer, Integrations

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential streaming advertising technology client in their search for a Senior Backend Engineer focused on integrations. This is a high-impact role within a fast-growing platform that connects brands to streaming TV audiences through data-driven advertising solutions.

You'll join the Integrations team as a senior technical voice, building the connective infrastructure that enables measurement, attribution, audience connections, and reporting across the platform. This role centers on developing a first-class Developer Platform that exposes the client's capabilities via API to external partners.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-grade integrations with external platforms including CRMs, CDPs, measurement vendors, and data partners
• Own integration projects end-to-end from scoping through production deployment with full accountability for outcomes
• Drive the architecture of public API endpoints for account, advertiser, and campaign management built to scale
• Develop documentation, monitoring, and tooling that delivers a genuinely first-class developer experience
• Collaborate directly with external partners to define, validate, and evolve data contracts
• Identify architectural weaknesses in existing pipelines and lead rebuilding efforts for scale
• Set code quality standards through thorough reviews that elevate team output
• Use AI tooling actively to accelerate development and raise output quality across the team
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code review, pairing, and direct feedback
• Partner with engineering leadership on technical direction and hiring calibration

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Typically 6+ years shipping production backend systems: APIs, data pipelines, and distributed services at scale
• Deep hands-on proficiency in TypeScript with ownership of complex systems
• Strong infrastructure fundamentals including AWS and Terraform with architectural decision-making experience
• Exposure to low-level programming concepts; C or C++ background is a plus
• High-ownership background in startups, scale-ups, or environments requiring independent problem-solving
• Track record of raising the quality of engineers around you, not just your own output

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience building or maintaining third-party integrations (ETL, webhooks, REST/GraphQL APIs)
• Familiarity with GCP or multi-cloud environments
• Experience designing or contributing to developer-facing platforms or public APIs

Pay

This role is based in Paris with hybrid flexibility (3 days per week in office). The position includes variable pay based on objectives, full health coverage, meal vouchers, annual team offsites, and quarterly engineering syncs.
