Senior Full Stack

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization in their search for a Senior Full Stack Engineer. Our client is building sophisticated planning and time intelligence tools used by managers worldwide, and they need an engineer who can own meaningful product features end-to-end—from data model to user interface.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in the world, provided your primary working hours fall between UTC-4 and UTC+4. Core team collaboration happens between 11:00 and 16:00 UTC.

Responsibilities

You'll join a cross-functional product team of approximately 5 engineers, working alongside product management and design to deliver features that matter. Your ownership spans the full stack:

• End-to-end feature ownership: Take projects from problem definition through production deployment. Make technical decisions, break down work into shippable increments, and deliver iteratively rather than in large releases.
• Full-stack development: Build data-dense interfaces using React and TypeScript on the frontend, backed by services primarily in Golang and PostgreSQL. You'll work on capacity views, dashboards, and reporting features that must perform at real customer scale.
• Technical decision-making: Choose approaches, evaluate tradeoffs, and make judgment calls without waiting for permission. Design APIs and data models that support current features without constraining future development.
• Performance as a product feature: Profile, measure, and optimize both query performance and rendering speed. Ensure interfaces remain fast and readable as datasets grow.
• Quality and craft: Write maintainable code with appropriate test coverage. Leave the codebase better than you found it. Our client does not have a separate QA team—engineers own quality directly.
• Product collaboration: Work closely with designers to prototype early, identify edge cases, and maintain UX quality throughout development. Challenge requirements that don't serve users well and propose simpler alternatives.
• Team elevation: Provide actionable code review feedback, mentor other engineers, participate in hiring, and identify opportunities to reduce duplicate work across teams.
• AI-assisted development: Use AI tools extensively for exploration, code generation, debugging, and research. Help your team improve their AI fluency and productivity.

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Significant production experience building and shipping web applications end-to-end, with the ability to lead major projects independently
• Genuine comfort on both frontend and backend—deep expertise on one side and solid capability on the other
• Deep practical knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and modern CSS, including state management and side-effect handling in large applications
• Strong backend fundamentals: proficiency in at least one backend language, API design, relational database modeling, and query performance optimization (Golang experience not required but willingness to learn quickly is essential)
• Track record of maintaining extremely high quality standards and attention to detail
• Experience with data-heavy product interfaces where performance and readability are critical
• User-focused mindset—you start with the problem to be solved, not just the technical implementation
• Ownership of outcomes, not just output—you monitor production behavior and address issues proactively
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity, make confident decisions with incomplete information, and adapt quickly
• Active use of AI tools as core productivity multipliers in your development workflow
• Self-direction and strong async communication—you don't need management oversight to deliver
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, with ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to contribute to team growth through code review, mentoring, and interviewing

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with TanStack, frontend caching patterns, and eventual consistency tradeoffs
• Background in capacity planning, scheduling, reporting, or complex B2B SaaS products
• Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, infrastructure as code, or CI/CD pipeline development

This role is not suitable for candidates who:

• Prefer fully-specified work with detailed requirements handed to them
• Want to work only on one side of the stack and hand off at API boundaries
• Expect a separate QA team to catch bugs and own quality
• Need heavy process, frequent approvals, or top-down direction to perform well
• Prefer to work in isolation from end users and their needs
