[PT/FT] Senior Roblox Developer & Game Designer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential entertainment client in search of a Senior Roblox Developer & Game Designer for a remote, project-based engagement with strong potential for ongoing work. This role offers the opportunity to build a high-profile Roblox experience from the ground up for a client with significant reach in the kids-and-families space.

The ideal candidate will take full ownership of development—from initial concept through launch and post-launch iteration—and deliver a polished, scalable experience designed for high player counts and strong retention.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of a Roblox experience, including game concept, planning, and design
• Build and iterate within Roblox Studio using Luau scripting
• Design maps, 3D environments, and assets that support engaging gameplay
• Develop core gameplay mechanics, multiplayer systems, and UI/UX
• Implement player progression, reward systems, and data saving
• Design and integrate monetization systems aligned with platform best practices
• Optimize performance across mobile, tablet, PC, and console
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and QA before launch
• Support Roblox publishing and launch coordination
• Track analytics and performance metrics post-launch
• Deliver updates and improvements based on player feedback and data

What We're Looking For

• Strong portfolio of published Roblox experiences
• Deep expertise in Roblox Studio and Luau scripting
• Proven experience building games designed to handle large, concurrent player counts
• Strong understanding of player retention, progression loops, and monetization strategies within Roblox
• Experience optimizing Roblox experiences across multiple device types
• Ability to take ownership of both technical development and overall product vision
• Excellent communication and project-management skills
• Experience launching and maintaining successful Roblox games is highly preferred
• Ability to work independently or as part of a small development team
