Senior Frontend Engineer (m/f/d)

About the Role

We are representing a confidential robotics technology organization in their search for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their expanding UK team. In this role, you will build sophisticated, responsive interfaces that enable real-time control and monitoring of advanced robotic systems and sensor networks. Your contributions will directly impact the usability and performance of cutting-edge solutions in this specialized field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize frontend applications for controlling and visualizing robotic systems and sensor data streams
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow across the technology stack
• Build intuitive, performant, and responsive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks such as React or comparable web component frameworks
• Partner closely with UX/UI designers to translate design specifications into functional, production-ready applications
• Maintain code quality, maintainability, and scalability through clean coding practices and thorough code reviews
• Troubleshoot and optimize frontend performance specifically for real-time application requirements

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern web component frameworks
• Solid understanding of contemporary web development tools, concepts, and best practices
• Working knowledge of backend systems and API integration patterns
• Experience with custom web-based rendering engines
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and data visualization tools
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Excellent problem-solving skills and genuine passion for creating exceptional user experiences

Preferred experience:

• Background in robotics, sensor data visualization, or real-time control systems
• Knowledge of state management libraries (Redux, MobX) and modern frontend build tools
• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js
• Understanding of testing frameworks and tools for frontend development
