(Senior) ERP Consultant DMS (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential ERP software organization with operations across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. Our talent team is seeking an experienced ERP Consultant specializing in Document Management Systems (DMS) to join their growing consulting practice.

In this role, you will advise mid-market clients on document management and digital document processes within an established ERP ecosystem. You'll analyze existing workflows, develop tailored DMS solutions, and guide implementation alongside project managers, developers, and client key users.

Responsibilities

• Gather and evaluate customer requirements; prepare detailed specifications
• Support clients in process optimization and efficiency improvements
• Analyze, design, and implement business processes within the ERP platform
• Configure and customize ERP modules across one or more functional areas
• Conduct testing, error analysis, and quality assurance of ERP processes
• Prepare and deliver workshops and training sessions for key users and end users
• Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and process descriptions
• Contribute to the development of standardized, reusable ERP process solutions
• For senior candidates: coordinate work packages, mentor colleagues, provide technical leadership within the consulting team, develop best practices, and guide strategic ERP decisions

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in business or technical field, or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience as an ERP Consultant or ERP Key User
• Strong understanding of business processes
• Proven experience in ERP system implementation and customization
• Professional experience in DMS consulting, document management, or digitalization of document processes
• Hands-on experience with a DMS, ECM, or archiving system
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for working with clients
• Confident presence, presentation competence, and team spirit
• Willingness to undertake moderate travel
• For senior candidates: demonstrable experience leading complex ERP projects, ability to shape processes strategically and develop cross-departmental solutions, experience in technical leadership and mentoring
• German language proficiency required; candidates must be eligible to work in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, or Italy
