Senior Director, Engineering – OCI Infrastructure Planning & Capacity Management

Oracle is hiring a Senior Director of Engineering to build and lead the team shaping infrastructure planning and capacity management for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Based in Phoenix, Maricopa County, this is a full-time leadership role driving strategy and execution across OCI's global infrastructure footprint.

About the Role

You'll direct an engineering organization focused on infrastructure provisioning strategy, demand forecasting, vendor and resource coordination, and capacity optimization at enterprise scale. This position owns the technical roadmap, day-to-day delivery, and maturity of the systems, platforms, and operational processes that keep OCI running reliably worldwide. You'll partner closely with finance, cloud operations, and product teams to align infrastructure investments with business growth.

What You'll Do

• Lead and grow an engineering team tasked with long-term infrastructure planning and capacity forecasting across global regions
• Own the design and delivery of platforms and tooling that enable real-time capacity visibility, demand prediction, and resource allocation
• Drive operational excellence through process improvement, automation, and best practices in infrastructure lifecycle management
• Collaborate with cloud operations, procurement, and leadership to translate infrastructure needs into sourcing and deployment strategies
• Set technical standards and architecture direction for capacity planning systems that support Oracle's rapid cloud growth
• Mentor and develop senior engineers while building a high-performing, engaged organization

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of software engineering and infrastructure leadership experience, with at least 5 years in director-level roles
• Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, capacity planning, forecasting, or large-scale systems design
• Proven ability to lead and scale engineering teams in fast-growing, complex technical environments
• Strong communication skills and experience partnering across finance, operations, and product organizations
• Track record of delivering robust, scalable platforms that drive business impact
• Experience with infrastructure sourcing, vendor management, or supply chain optimization a plus
