Responsibilities
Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Own infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform and Ansible
- Design, build, and maintain comprehensive logging, monitoring, alerting, and SLO/SLI frameworks
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines enabling fast, safe, and repeatable software delivery
- Oversee availability, scalability, and performance of cloud and on-premises infrastructure while ensuring alignment with corporate security standards and regulatory compliance
Cloud Security
- Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR
- Lead security-first approach and collaborate with Security and IT teams on infrastructure patching according to SLAs
- Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines and platform services
Technology Leadership
- Define and execute the long-term technical roadmap for the global cloud platform, evaluating emerging technologies
- Establish infrastructure standards, creating reusable Infrastructure as Code patterns for engineering teams
- Architect and champion a "Shift-Left" security strategy with automated security guardrails integrated into CI/CD pipelines
What We're Looking For
Required Experience:
- Significant experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering, including time in technical leadership roles
- Deep expertise in AWS cloud platform and associated security and compliance practices
- Strong background in infrastructure automation (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling
- Proven experience with platform re-design and architecture of new cloud infrastructure systems
- Solid understanding of AppSec principles and integrating security into build and deploy pipelines
- Experience managing hybrid environments, including traditional data centers and on-premises services
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence across departments
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with regulated industries such as healthcare or fintech
- Familiarity with multiple compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
Success Milestones:
Within 6 months, you'll become the primary authority on infrastructure, owning cloud systems, establishing automation, implementing observability frameworks, and gaining deep product understanding. By 12 months, you'll drive platform evolution with end-to-end ownership, optimized delivery pipelines, integrated security architecture, and cross-departmental influence.
