About the Role
As a senior development engineer specialising in mechatronics, dynamics, and control systems, you will lead the conception and realisation of innovative solutions that integrate mechanical, electronic, and software technologies. Your expertise in control dynamics will be essential as you shape products that demand the highest standards of performance and reliability. You will work on challenging projects that leverage cutting-edge simulation and real-world testing methodologies across our Oberkochen facility and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechatronic systems with emphasis on dynamics modelling and advanced control strategies
- Create and validate control algorithms using simulation software and experimental testing
- Lead cross-functional teams, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
- Conduct system analysis, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting of complex assemblies
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation, system specifications, and engineering reports
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous process improvement
Qualifications
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience (5+ years) in mechatronic system development, control engineering, or similar discipline
- Strong knowledge of dynamics, control theory, and real-time systems
- Proficiency with simulation tools and programming languages relevant to control system design
- Demonstrated project management abilities and technical leadership experience
