Ingénieur SAV / Maintenance (Itinérance – Nord-Est) F/H

Join Zeissgroup as an Ingénieur SAV / Maintenance, covering the North-East region on a mobile basis from our Rueil-Malmaison operations centre. We're seeking an experienced field service and maintenance engineer to provide expert technical support to our customers across a multi-site territory.

About the Role

As our mobile Service After-Sales and Maintenance Engineer serving the North-East region, you'll be the technical backbone connecting Zeissgroup to our customers' operations. You'll combine hands-on engineering expertise with genuine customer service, managing the complete lifecycle of equipment support—from preventive inspections to emergency repairs—whilst maintaining the mobility and flexibility the role demands. This is a full-time position that rewards technical excellence, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to customer satisfaction across a dynamic field territory.

Your Responsibilities

• Travel throughout the North-East region to install, service, and maintain customer equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational reliability
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults on-site, drawing on your engineering knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance visits, documenting system performance and identifying improvement opportunities
• Communicate clearly with customers to understand their needs, manage expectations, and build lasting relationships
• Maintain comprehensive service records and reports, ensuring full traceability and compliance with safety and quality standards
• Coordinate with internal technical teams to escalate complex issues and access specialist support when needed
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all field activities

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Demonstrated experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or customer-facing technical support roles
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in customer environments
• Valid driving licence and reliable access to transport (essential for the mobile nature of this role)
• Fluent French and English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Genuine commitment to customer service and safety excellence
• Willingness to travel extensively within the North-East territory as required
