About the Role

As a Part Time Maintenance Worker with the City of Cape Girardeau, you'll support our maintenance team in preserving and improving the appearance and functionality of municipal outdoor spaces and facilities. You'll work alongside full-time staff and other part-time team members to deliver consistent, quality maintenance services across our community.

What You'll Do

• Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, weedeating, and general upkeep of city properties
• Maintain athletic fields and recreational facilities to safety and playability standards
• Assist with general maintenance tasks in outdoor settings
• Support equipment maintenance efforts and report maintenance needs
• Collaborate with full-time and other part-time maintenance staff on assigned projects
• Keep work areas clean and organized

What We're Looking For

• Minimum age of 16 years
• Ability to perform outdoor maintenance work and operate standard grounds equipment
