Zeissgroup is seeking a Specialist in Inbound & Outbound Logistics to join our team in Oberkochen. In this full-time role, you will manage essential supply chain operations that support our global manufacturing network and ensure seamless material flow across all logistics functions.
The Opportunity
This position offers the chance to develop and optimize inbound and outbound logistics processes at one of the world's leading optical and precision engineering companies. As a Specialist Inbound & Outbound Logistics professional based in Oberkochen, you will work with modern systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline our supply chain operations. Your contributions will directly impact our operational efficiency and our ability to deliver precision products globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound shipments, monitor supplier deliveries, and manage material reception
- Plan and execute outbound order fulfillment and dispatch operations
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee warehouse logistics processes
- Communicate with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve logistics issues
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and manage customs documentation where applicable
- Monitor shipment status and provide tracking updates to customers and partners
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in inbound logistics, outbound distribution, or supply chain operations
- Proficiency with logistics software, warehouse management systems, or ERP platforms
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent shipments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Methodical approach to accuracy and attention to detail in documentation
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced logistics environment
- Fluency in German and English is preferred
