About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital platform client in their search for a Senior CRM Manager based in Australia or New Zealand. This is a remote-first leadership role focused on driving email marketing excellence and lifecycle strategy for a global creative services organization.

As Senior CRM Manager, you'll lead a team of CRM specialists while owning the end-to-end email marketing and customer engagement strategy. This position combines people leadership with hands-on technical execution, requiring deep expertise in marketing automation, segmentation, and data-driven optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of CRM specialists, fostering collaboration and high performance
• Own and manage the email marketing calendar in alignment with product and business priorities
• Define and execute data-driven CRM and lifecycle strategies to improve customer acquisition, activation, and retention
• Design and optimize customer segmentation frameworks for targeted, personalized communications
• Oversee strategy, execution, and continuous optimization of CRM campaigns across the customer lifecycle
• Champion AI, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance personalization and operational effectiveness
• Leverage Iterable and other CRM technologies to build scalable, automated lifecycle programs
• Analyze campaign performance and customer data to generate actionable insights
• Partner with Research teams to understand customer behavior and engagement drivers
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Tech, and Customer Success teams
• Ensure best practices in email deliverability, compliance, testing, and optimization
• Contribute to broader marketing strategy as a senior division member

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in CRM and lifecycle marketing with strong email marketing focus
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams with strong attention to detail
• Deep understanding of email marketing best practices including segmentation, automation, testing, and optimization
• Hands-on experience with Iterable or similar marketing automation platforms with strong technical aptitude
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Excellent copywriting and editing skills for compelling, customer-focused messaging
• Strong stakeholder management across Marketing, Product, and Customer Success functions
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI and automation to improve CRM performance and personalization
• Proven ability to review and optimize processes, identifying opportunities for innovation
• Strong understanding of data privacy and marketing compliance (SPAM Act, GDPR, etc.)

Desirable qualifications:

• Experience in global, digital, or subscription-based business environments
• Familiarity with customer research methodologies and lifecycle strategy application
• Knowledge of CDPs including data unification and audience segmentation
• Experience contributing to marketing strategy at a senior level
