(Senior) Consultant SAP-SD

Continental is seeking a Senior Consultant specialising in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) to join our Information Technology team based in Lousado, Braga, Portugal. This is a full-time, remote position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere whilst contributing to critical business solutions.

About the Role

As a Senior Consultant for SAP-SD at Continental, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of sales and distribution processes across our technology landscape. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic consulting capabilities, positioning you as a trusted advisor to our business stakeholders and development teams. You will influence how Continental manages customer orders, deliveries, billing, and revenue recognition at scale.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Analyse current business processes and translate requirements into SAP-SD configurations and enhancements
• Design and implement solutions covering order-to-cash workflows, including sales orders, delivery management, and invoicing
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements to streamline operations and maximise system efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, supply chain, and IT to ensure comprehensive solutions
• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and training to support adoption and change management
• Troubleshoot issues, optimise configurations, and support system performance during and after implementation

Who We're Looking For

• Proven expertise in SAP SD module configuration, implementation, or consulting
• Experience with end-to-end sales and distribution processes: order management, billing, shipping, and related integrations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical depth and business context
• Excellent communication abilities to work effectively with business users, developers, and leadership
• Professional experience in ERP consulting or systems implementation
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver quality results in complex environments
