Senior Consultant (m/w/d) Finance Solutions

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential consulting firm specializing in business intelligence and financial process digitalization. This Senior Consultant role combines finance expertise, consulting skills, and analytical thinking to support clients in optimizing their financial and controlling processes through modern BI and planning solutions.

You'll work directly with clients on long-term engagements, developing sophisticated reporting, planning, forecasting, and consolidation systems. This position offers significant autonomy, direct client contact, and clear pathways for professional growth within a specialized consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Consult and support clients on business intelligence, enterprise planning, and corporate consolidation initiatives
• Analyze functional requirements in collaboration with finance, controlling, and corporate accounting teams
• Develop solution concepts and architectures based on IBM Planning Analytics TM1
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and system designs
• Model and implement OLAP solutions, reports, dashboards, and planning systems
• Design and optimize data integrations from ERP, financial, and upstream systems
• Guide client projects from conception through implementation and go-live
• Conduct workshops, end-user training sessions, and client presentations
• Provide ongoing support and enhancement of existing client solutions
• Contribute to presales activities, solution concepts, and client pitches

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in business administration, business informatics, finance, controlling, or comparable field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in business intelligence, financial planning, and corporate consolidation
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and controlling processes
• Proven experience analyzing and optimizing finance and controlling workflows
• Excellent communication skills and confident presence when engaging with clients and business units
• Analytical and structured working style with high level of personal accountability
• Interest in data-driven solutions and understanding of BI and planning systems
• Fluent German language skills for optimal client consulting and team communication
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and workshops (approximately once monthly)
• Experience with IBM Planning Analytics TM1 is a strong advantage
