Senior Commercial Finance Manager

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential mobility-tech organization in their search for a Senior Commercial Finance Manager based in Hamburg. In this role, you will drive financial planning, business case development, and performance tracking across dynamic growth segments and strategic initiatives.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Leading structured financial modeling and business casing for growth segments and strategic projects in close collaboration with business owners
• Acting as a key finance partner to segment leaders, providing objective analysis to inform senior leadership discussions on resource allocation and major investment decisions
• Establishing continuous ROI tracking frameworks and conducting routine performance reviews to ensure capital efficiency across all growth levers
• Working alongside data teams to define and implement consistent KPI tracking, reporting frameworks, and performance dashboards
• Collaborating with the broader Commercial Finance team to build and maintain sustainable "shadow P&L" reporting for growth segments
• Supporting buy-side M&A projects by assessing target financials and evaluating business models within the context of operational data
• Structuring and driving post-acquisition financial integration of newly acquired businesses from an FP&A perspective, ensuring data alignment, standardizing KPIs, and incorporating new entities into central forecasting and reporting processes

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Management Consulting, or Transaction Advisory
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
• Advanced financial modeling capability and strong data manipulation skills; experience with AI-enhanced modeling techniques and modern FP&A tooling are a plus
• Ability to translate complex operational and product mechanics into clear financial models and commercial insights
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to constructively challenge assumptions and clearly communicate financial trade-offs to business leaders
• Experience across multiple business models including marketplace, B2B SaaS, and other growth-stage revenue streams is highly valued
