Senior Cloud Engineer Azure (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with Azure expertise for their Ratingen office. Our client supports digital transformation initiatives across automotive, retail, banking, insurance, and public sector clients throughout Germany and Europe.

This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse cloud projects, from architecture and development through to implementation and operations, using modern Azure services and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modern cloud solutions on Azure platform
• Work in agile Scrum teams on projects across multiple industries and technical domains
• Implement new requirements collaboratively with clients and colleagues
• Architect and evolve microservices, APIs, integration solutions, and cloud-native applications
• Contribute to deployment automation and advancement of CI/CD pipelines
• Support cloud migrations, cloud transformations, and architecture reviews
• Share knowledge actively with clients and team members on technical topics

What We're Looking For

• Completed IT-related degree or comparable qualification
• German language skills at C1/C2 level
• Residence in Germany, ideally near Ratingen or Frankfurt
• Deep understanding of Azure IaaS and PaaS services for solution architecture design and implementation
• Several years of experience in.NET software development and cloud projects, particularly with Azure
• Strong experience with frontend and backend technologies (C#/.NET, ASP.NET, Angular, Blazor, MAUI, web services, frameworks and tools)
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, messaging, microservices, APIs, and container/Kubernetes technologies
• Hands-on experience with containerization, DevOps (CI/CD), automation, and scripting
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging, networking, security, and IAM
• Analytical thinking, independent working style, team orientation, and strong communication skills in German and English

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with additional Azure services and SaaS products (ERP, CRM, collaboration platforms, Power Platform, AI services)
• Azure certifications
• DevSecOps, test automation, and environment management experience
• Knowledge of other hyperscaler clouds (AWS/GCP)
