Senior Bid & Pursuit Manager / Proposal Manager (m/w/d) – Cloud, Data & AI Consulting

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential cloud and data consulting organization seeking a Senior Bid & Pursuit Manager to orchestrate complex RfP, proposal, and pitch processes from end to end at their Hamburg location.

As the central coordinating force in the pursuit process, you will manage everything from initial client inquiry through final submission. You will coordinate cross-functional teams including sales, delivery, service lines, management, and partners while bringing structure to complex processes and ensuring compelling proposals and pitches.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Managing RfP, RfI, pitch, and proposal processes from inquiry through submission
• Analyzing client requirements, tender documents, evaluation criteria, and deadlines
• Creating and managing bid plans with clear responsibilities, milestones, and deadlines
• Coordinating relevant stakeholders across sales, delivery, service lines, management, legal, finance, and partner organizations
• Developing win strategies, value propositions, and compelling proposal narratives
• Preparing and facilitating bid meetings, pitches, and executive reviews
• Tracking open items, risks, and decisions throughout the process
• Building and developing reusable proposal components, references, case studies, and templates
• Conducting lessons learned sessions and continuously optimizing bid and pursuit processes

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Multiple years of experience in bid management, proposal management, pursuit management, pre-sales, sales operations, project management, or comparable roles
• Proven experience with RfPs, RfIs, tenders, pitches, and complex client proposals, ideally in IT or consulting environments
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and deadlines
• Excellent communication, organizational, and assertiveness capabilities
• Proficient with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and common collaboration tools
• Fluent German and good to very good English language skills
• Ability to quickly grasp complex content and translate it into compelling proposal and pitch materials

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in IT consulting, cloud, data, AI, analytics, or digital transformation
• Understanding of consulting offerings, delivery models, and commercial proposal components
• Experience with enterprise clients or complex tender processes
• Basic understanding of cloud, data, AI, or business intelligence concepts

You don't need to be a technical architect, but you should understand technical content, ask the right questions, and engage the appropriate experts when needed.
