The Opportunity

AWS GameTech Cortex is creating the foundation for modern game operations in the cloud. As a Senior Applied Scientist, you'll architect and implement machine learning solutions that solve real problems for game studios—from launch optimization to live service management. Responsibilities

• Design and deploy end-to-end machine learning pipelines that deliver actionable insights to game development teams
• Collaborate with game studios, product managers, and fellow scientists to identify high-impact problems and validate solutions
• Develop scalable data architectures and models that handle the unique demands of gaming workloads on AWS
• Prototype, test, and iterate on new approaches to measurement, prediction, and optimization for game operations
• Champion best practices in reproducibility, documentation, and model governance across the team

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of applied machine learning or data science experience, with demonstrated impact on production systems
• Strong foundation in statistical modeling, feature engineering, and model evaluation
• Experience building full-stack solutions from data ingestion through deployment and monitoring
• Comfort working with large-scale cloud platforms and distributed computing environments
• Curiosity about gaming, game development workflows, or player behavior analytics
• Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar languages used in data science workflows
