As an Interrelated Teacher at Druid Hills Middle School, you'll work with students who have mild-to-moderate disabilities across multiple content areas. This position requires balancing differentiated instruction with high expectations and fostering positive relationships that enable growth.
What You'll Do
- Deliver evidence-based instruction aligned to standards and individual student needs
- Implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with fidelity
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Create an inclusive, welcoming classroom environment that maximizes engagement
- Communicate with families about student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Contribute to a positive school culture and support school initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Valid teaching certification or licensure in Special Education, Interrelated, or related field
- Strong commitment to high academic expectations for all students
