CDL-A Solo Truck Driver – Transition Bonus

Barr-Nunn Transportation is now hiring experienced CDL-A solo truck drivers for full-time over-the-road and regional freight operations based in Hollywood, Clark County. If you're an independent, safety-focused professional with recent commercial driving experience, we want to talk with you—and we're offering a substantial transition bonus to get you started.

About the Role

This full-time solo driver position focuses on both OTR and regional routes, giving you variety in your assignment schedule while maintaining the stability of regular dispatch. You'll operate independently, manage your own equipment, and coordinate directly with our dispatch team to ensure timely, compliant freight delivery across multiple states.

What You'll Do

• Execute solo commercial driving assignments on multi-state over-the-road and regional freight lanes
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain detailed service records
• Monitor fuel efficiency, vehicle performance, and equipment condition
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and adhere to DOT hours-of-service regulations
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and roadside partners
• Execute safe loading, transport, and delivery procedures for time-sensitive freight

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A CDL with a current medical card
• Minimum 8 months of verifiable OTR or commercial trucking experience within the past 24 months
• No employment terminations from previous trucking roles in the past 12 months
• Strong safety record and demonstrated DOT compliance
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on the road

Compensation & Opportunity

Earn $85,000 to $112,000 annually with per-mile compensation of 65 to 78 cents. Qualifying drivers receive a $2,625 to $4,625 transition bonus deposited on your first paycheck. Full-time status includes benefits and the professional support Barr-Nunn is known for throughout the industry.
