RN – Emergency Room (ER)

LBH-Northwest Hospital in Mcdonogh Run, Baltimore County, Maryland is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Room team on a 14-week assignment — an outstanding opportunity for an experienced ER nurse ready to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced acute care environment.

About the Role

This Emergency Room RN position is based on-site at LBH-Northwest Hospital in the Randallstown area of Baltimore County. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), delivering high-acuity emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population across every stage of the emergency department workflow.

What You'll Do

• Perform rapid patient assessment, triage, and prioritization upon arrival to the emergency department
• Initiate and manage IV access, draw labs, administer medications, and monitor patient responses
• Execute emergency interventions including cardiac monitoring, wound care, splinting, and airway management support
• Collaborate with attending physicians, specialists, and the broader care team to develop and carry out individualized treatment plans
• Accurately and promptly document all assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic health record
• Communicate clearly with patients and families during high-stress situations, providing education and emotional support
• Contribute to safe patient throughput, handoffs, and transitions of care within the ER setting

What We're Looking For

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid in the state of Maryland
• Minimum of one to two years of recent Emergency Room or acute care nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive in high-volume, high-acuity situations
• Strong IV skills, clinical assessment proficiency, and familiarity with emergency triage protocols
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment
