SAP Senior Delivery Manager – Banking Transformation (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential financial services technology organization in their search for an experienced Senior Delivery Manager to lead banking transformation initiatives. This role is based in Hamburg, Germany, and offers the opportunity to drive complex strategic programs from inception through implementation.

Our client works with banking and financial services organizations across international markets, delivering large-scale transformation projects that reshape how these institutions operate. As their Senior Delivery Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while leading cross-functional teams through business, process, and technology change.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale banking transformation programs
• Serve as a strategic partner to client stakeholders, guiding them through complex organizational and technology changes
• Proactively identify and manage program risks, dependencies, and opportunities across multiple workstreams
• Design and shape target operating models, transformation roadmaps, and implementation strategies
• Engage with senior client leadership and participate in key governance and steering committees
• Challenge existing requirements and processes to ensure solutions are sustainable and scalable
• Collaborate across business, operations, architecture, product, and technology teams to drive alignment
• Support pre-sales activities and contribute to strategic business development initiatives
• Foster cross-team collaboration and create alignment beyond individual project boundaries

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience leading complex transformation initiatives within banking, payments, lending, or financial services
• Strong understanding of core banking processes and banking operating models
• Experience working with SAP Banking solutions or comparable enterprise banking platforms
• Proven ability to operate effectively at both strategic and hands-on execution levels
• Strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrated success engaging senior business and technology leaders
• Ability to challenge the status quo and identify opportunities beyond defined project scope
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills in English and ideally German
• Experience working in international and cross-functional environments
• Authorization to work in Germany
