Salesforce Middleware Architect

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization in their search for a Salesforce Middleware Architect. This is a 100% remote, full-time W2 position based anywhere in the United States. Our client seeks an experienced integration architect to design and govern the connections between Salesforce and their enterprise application ecosystem, focusing on API strategy, middleware selection, and event-driven patterns that ensure reliable connectivity across ERP, data, marketing, and operational systems.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Design and architect integrations between Salesforce and the broader enterprise application landscape
• Define integration architecture standards, middleware selection criteria, and API strategy
• Implement event-driven integration patterns that connect Salesforce reliably with critical systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders
• Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered, production-ready solutions
• Lead code reviews, design reviews, and mentor engineering team members
• Design data synchronization strategies with ERP and operational systems
• Govern integration security, identity management, and OAuth implementations
• Lead large-scale Salesforce integration programs from concept through production

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of Salesforce experience, with significant focus on complex integrations
• Deep understanding of Salesforce APIs, Platform Events, and Change Data Capture
• Hands-on experience with at least one major iPaaS platform (MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica)
• Strong grasp of integration patterns and enterprise application architecture
• Proven experience designing data synchronization strategies with ERP and operational systems
• Strong understanding of identity, OAuth, and integration security practices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Salesforce Certified Integration Architect credential
• Track record of leading large Salesforce integration programs

Preferred qualifications:

• MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect
• Experience with event-driven integration platforms such as Kafka, Solace, or Confluent
• Familiarity with Salesforce Industry Clouds and their data-integration requirements
• Exposure to high-volume integration scenarios (10M+ records/day)
• Experience integrating Salesforce with SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite ERP systems

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $150,000–$175,000 annually.
