Responsibilities

• Engage fully in the didactic modules and skill labs that form the Periop 101 educational core
• Assist with preoperative patient preparation, positioning, and safety verification under direct supervision
• Learn and practice sterile technique, instrument handling, and circulating duties during operative procedures
• Document care accurately, communicate effectively with the surgical team, and support continuous workflow improvement
• Participate in postoperative transfer and recovery hand-offs while applying newly acquired perioperative knowledge
• Uphold infection-prevention protocols and patient-advocacy standards throughout every clinical encounter

• Current, unencumbered registered-nurse licensure valid for practice in the service area
