About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential client in the digital travel sector, and our talent team is seeking a Revenue Analyst to join their Edinburgh office. This is a pivotal role within the Finance function, working at the intersection of Commercial, Billing, and Operations to ensure revenue recognition accuracy and process excellence across diverse revenue streams including advertising and partnerships.

This position offers genuine scope to shape billing operations and drive automation initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll be a key connector across teams, bringing clarity and structure to complex financial processes while helping build scalable solutions for the future.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end billing workflows across all non-rail revenue streams, serving as the primary liaison between Commercial and Billing teams from initial setup through reconciliation and monthly billing cycles
• Maintain comprehensive billing registers and supporting documentation across advertising, partnerships, and other revenue channels; prepare monthly accruals and billing summaries for Management Accounts
• Extract, validate, and analyse advertising impression data from Google Ad Manager and similar platforms, performing monthly reconciliations between campaign delivery, insertion orders, and invoiced amounts
• Collaborate with Ad Operations to monitor campaign progress, track advertising pipeline activity, and ensure accurate billing of bespoke and international trading including kickbacks and commissions
• Review commercial contracts for billing requirements, communicate relevant terms to billing teams, and support debt recovery and resolution of client billing queries
• Coordinate billing reconciliations across revenue streams, working cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and maintain financial accuracy
• Standardise billing inputs, pipeline visibility, and workflows across Commercial teams while identifying operational efficiencies
• Partner with billing management and transformation teams to develop and implement automated billing solutions that replace manual processes

What We're Looking For

• Solid background in revenue operations, billing, finance operations, or closely related field with demonstrated accuracy and ownership across financial processes
• Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence working across Commercial, Finance, and operational teams
• Intermediate to strong Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations, and data analysis
• Sharp attention to detail and strong organisational capabilities with ability to manage multiple priorities independently in fast-paced environments
• Curious, improvement-focused mindset with proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimisation
• Ideally, experience with Google Ad Manager or similar ad revenue platforms
• Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable CRM tools preferred
• Experience supporting billing automation, Finance Ops, or revenue transformation projects is helpful
• Interest in leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to improve efficiency and data workflows is a plus
