Position Summary

This full-time Registered Nurse role focuses on delivering direct clinical care to surgical orthopedic patients during night shift operations. You will evaluate patient conditions, create individualized care plans, and execute nursing interventions to support optimal recovery and comfort. Working closely with the nursing team and healthcare providers, you'll ensure that every patient receives evidence-based, safe, and dignified care aligned with the highest nursing standards.

Core Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings in the electronic health record
  • Develop and implement patient-centered care plans tailored to individual surgical orthopedic needs
  • Administer medications, manage wound care, monitor vital signs, and perform clinical interventions as prescribed
  • Supervise and guide nursing staff and assistants in delivering delegated care responsibilities
  • Communicate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary team regarding patient progress and concerns
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient status and nursing actions
  • Uphold infection prevention protocols and patient safety standards throughout the shift

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in Texas
  • Professional nursing degree (ADN or BSN)
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in acute care or surgical nursing preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and patient advocacy skills
