About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential medical device manufacturer in their search for a Regional Vice President, Sales (Vascular) - South Region. This senior leadership role manages a high-performing sales team across the southern United States, focusing on vascular products that improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, and develop Account Executives across the South Region, providing ongoing training on product knowledge, sales methodology, and customer relationship management
  • Travel extensively throughout territories to coach sales representatives through live customer interactions, offering real-time feedback on presentations and closing techniques
  • Develop and implement regional marketing strategies that align with corporate objectives while addressing local market dynamics
  • Monitor individual and team performance against sales volume, profitability, and market share goals using comprehensive reporting systems
  • Handle escalated pricing discussions, product quality issues, and customer concerns requiring senior leadership involvement
  • Serve as a liaison between field sales and internal departments (manufacturing, marketing, product development) to communicate customer feedback and drive product improvements
  • Analyze competitive landscape and market trends to identify opportunities and threats within the vascular device sector
  • Prepare executive-level reports on sales performance, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive relationship management and issue resolution

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business with substantial marketing coursework
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years as a sales manager leading successful sales teams, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to select, develop, motivate, and manage high-performing sales organizations
  • Sales Expertise: Deep understanding of consultative selling techniques, customer service principles, and the ability to coach others in these areas
  • Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of medical device manufacturing, regulatory environment, and hospital/clinical purchasing processes
  • Business Acumen: Ability to balance sales growth with profitability metrics and make data-driven strategic decisions
  • Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills for presenting to executives, training teams, and engaging with clinical stakeholders
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, CRM systems, word processing, and sales analytics tools
  • Availability: Willingness to travel frequently (50%+ expected) and work flexible hours to meet customer and team needs
  • Interpersonal Skills: Diplomatic approach to working across diverse functional teams and building trust with manufacturing, clinical, and executive partners
