Regional Market Manager, Hardware – NY/NJ

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential hardware and tools organization seeking a Regional Market Manager, Hardware to lead sales operations across the NY/NJ territory. This is a remote position with substantial travel requirements throughout the region. You'll drive strategic growth through two-step distribution channels while managing a team of territory sales professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage hardware sales team members across the New York/New Jersey territory as a virtual employee
• Set strategic vision and direction to deliver sustainable sales growth across the region
• Drive profitability, market share acceleration, product listings, and conversions through two-step distribution channels
• Build and maintain relationships with top accounts and key decision-makers in the hardware distribution space
• Leverage digital tools including Salesforce, presentation platforms, and business intelligence systems to maximize efficiency
• Manage budgets for travel, targeted funds, demonstration tools, and other resources to optimize profitability
• Collaborate cross-functionally with national account teams, marketing, operations, finance, and supply chain
• Communicate market opportunities, competitive threats, and regional trends to leadership
• Execute promotional events and creative selling strategies to drive sell-through

What We're Looking For

• 4-year college degree required
• 5-10 years of industry and sales experience
• Proven success executing promotional events and creative problem-solving
• Strong understanding of two-step distribution models and major hardware distributors (Ace, Orgill, Do it Best, True Value)
• Proficiency with business systems (Salesforce.com, business warehouse tools) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Financial acumen including ability to understand balance sheets and drive profitable growth
• Willingness to travel up to 50% both in and out of state
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
• Demonstrated leadership capability managing remote teams across large territories

This role offers competitive total target cash compensation that includes base salary plus sales incentive plan or commission structure.
