About the Role
As an adjunct or substitute instructor in our Real Estate program, you'll deliver high-quality instruction to students pursuing careers in residential and commercial real estate, property management, and related fields. You'll work with SDCCD's committed faculty team to prepare students for California real estate licensing exams and professional success.
What You'll Do
- Teach real estate courses at the college credit level, covering topics such as principles, practices, law, ethics, and market analysis
- Develop and deliver course content aligned with state standards and industry best practices
- Create assessments and assignments that measure student learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to support student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and program quality
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development as needed
What We're Looking For
You'll bring proven expertise and a commitment to community college teaching. Minimum qualifications include one of the following:
- A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and at least two years of relevant experience
- An associate degree from a regionally accredited institution and at least six years of relevant experience
- A valid California Community College Instructor Credential in Real Estate
- Equivalent qualifications demonstrating subject matter expertise
Strong candidates will have real-world industry experience, the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, and a passion for student success.
